As fall falls upon us
Leaves fly around
It keeps getting colder
Far away from safe and sound
Everything is different
Nothing feels the same
I cannot see the sun
Summer’s gone away
Winter is on sight
I can almost feel the snow
The days and weeks go by
We happened so long ago
Green turns to yellow
Yellow turns to grey
The days are growing shorter
Because you didn’t stay
Light, heat and life
That is what you were
But I am cooling down
Winter comes for sure
